Please, don’t wait, don’t delay your mammogram, be proactive and go to your gp as soon as you notice anything unusual, if I hadn’t done this and waited much longer mine would have spread to my lymph nodes and on.
18 months ago I had nipple discharge, went to the doctor who found a lump, turns out it was an infected cyst (phew). At the same time I had a mammogram and then another one in November 2020 (exactly one year ago), both were fine, nothing at all suspicious.
November 2021, all of a sudden I had a golf ball size lump in my breast (literally popped up out of nowhere), along with pain (despite my surgeon saying this is not a symptom and they don’t worry about pain) and one boob that was noticeably bigger than the other. Other symptoms….more prominent veins, unusual tiredness, electric shots from under my arm to boob.
Check your breast, every month after your period, here’s a guide on ‘how to’ and things to look for.

If you find anything unusuAl, anything that doesn’t feel or look right then please go straight to your gp and get it looked at. If it’s nothing then great, if it is something then you’ve hopefully caught it early enough to be treatable.
No one wants a Gary Golf Ball - trust me!
